My words are not meant to attack individuals but rather the system itself—one that thrives on exploitation, endless competition, and the illusion of scarcity. However you feel about this video is completely up to you. 🫶 I have no interest in playing the game of relentless ambition (that capitalism demands), where success is measured by profit at the expense of well-being of others. I refuse to reduce my worth—or anyone else’s—to market value. I believe in mutual aid, solidarity, and collaboration over competition. Tommy Hilfiger donated our studio three big boxes Tommy Hilfiger donated our studio three big boxes full of denim scraps - leftovers of an upcycling event that took place in their Berlin store, earlier this year. Instead of throwing them away, they decided to distribute them to local upcycling designers. 👏 Turning those leftover into clothes, was extra challenging as the boxes had only denim pants chopped off around the thighs + some cutted stripes that belonged to the bottom of the pants. I played around and these are the results! Felt good creating wonders out of so called trash! – Environmentally Conscious Feminist – The projec - Environmentally Conscious Feminist - The project's inspiration stemmed from a workshop request I received regarding the creation of reusable menstrual pads. After my research for this workshop I decided to create a whole installation with this topic for the display of our shop, as well as the product itself for sale. The ultimate goal is to effectively communicate a vital message. Obviously, using reusable pads, is better for the environment cos you can use them for many years without creating monthly waste that needs hundred years to decompose. Further more, an other interesting fact that I found in my research, is that, reusable pads are much healthier for the human body as well, while they are made of natural breathable materials like cotton that reduce the risk of skin irritation, itching and infections. Besides, they are more cost effective through the years... Additionally, I felt like pointing out the stigma surrounding menstruation that can be traced back to cultural, religious and social norms that have historically viewed menstruation as unclean or embarrassing. This has led to negative attitudes and shame surrounding the subject, making it a taboo topic in many societies, even today! Our ability to bleed and hurt is not a sign of weakness, but a reminder of our resilience and strength. We have the power to create new beginnings and bring forth life if we want to! No external force should dictate this decisions other than the individual herself. Our body our choice!
